Introduction to Ayurvedic massage Abhyanga and Yoga of Touch
Learn to give a friend or a family member a 30mn full body massage inspired by ayurvedic massage abhyanga.
In Ayurveda, the oiling of the body is called abhyanga. It combines a continuous flow of deep, rhythmic, fluid and slow movements which activates the blood circulation, the energetic flow, releases muscular and nervous tensions. It is relaxing, energizing, rejuvenating, and brings strength, softness and radiance to the skin.
Touch is the foundation of our sensory world and the skin is our largest sensory organ. In the philosophy of Tantra, the sense closest to Consciousness and Spaciality is Touch, Sparśa . It is connected to the Heart, Hridaya, the most important spiritual organ, the source of our mostintimate Being & the portal of our Souls.
